Some Maintenance Tips

Everyday Check:

  • Operation of all lights.
  • Replace burnt out fuses & bulbs.
  • Make sure all lamp lenses are clean.
  • Operation of handbrake.
  • Operation of horn

When Refuelling Check:

  • Engine oil level
  • Brake oil level
  • Windscreen washer fluid level
  • Tyre Pressure & condition

Once A Week Check:

  • Coolant level
  • Battery electrolyte level
  • Assemblies, pipes, hoses & reservoirs for a leaks
  • Power steering fluid level
  • Coolant level
  • Operate air conditioning system for minimum 5 minutes a week
Hyundai Service Schedule

Free Services (Labour only):

  • 1st Service: 2 months 1500 to 1800 kms *
  • 2nd Service: 1 year or  8000 to10,000 kms
  • 3rd Service : 2 years or 18000 to 20000 Kms
  • Tyre Pressure & condition

Paid Service:

  • 6 months or 10,000 kms * ( Before 30th April 2012 Date of Delivery vehicle )
  • 1 year or 10,000 kms * ( After 1stth April 2012  Date of Delivery vehicle)
Note: Always get your vehicle serviced from Hyundai Dealers or Authorised Service Center only. They know your car better.
Do's and Don'ts

Do

  • Switch off the ignition and all the electrical equipment before changing a fuse or relay.
  • Check warning lights indication during engine running/driving.
  • The reverse gear should be engaged only when the vehicle is stationary & after waiting for 3 sec in neutral.
  • Keep luggage as low and as close to the rear seat back rest as possible.
  • Use Hyundai approved fuel additives /Flushes
  • Use Hyundai approved Wash fluid concentrate for improving wiping efficiency.
  • Replace wiper blades before monsoon starts.
  • Get your vehicle serviced by Hyundai dealer at regular interval.
  • Cover your vehicle under Hyundai extended warranty program for peace of mind motoring.

Don't

  • Hold steering locked at extreme end position for more than 5 sec.
  • Run vehicle if engine oil, coolant, power steering or brake fluid is below minimum level.
  • Run on flat tyres. Replace with spare immediately.
  • Replace fuses with wires or higher rating fuses than allowed.
  • Overfill fuel.
  • Run out of fuel, especially diesel due to air entry into fuel system.
  • Unnecessarily crank engine for long period.
  • Allow engine to run with a disconnected spark plug terminals.
  • Push start of vehicle.
  • Switch off ignition while driving.
  • Use incorrect brake fluid.
  • Use spurious parts.
How to get the best fuel average?

How to get the best fuel average?

  • Always use premium fuel where available (e.g. 'Speed' of Bharat Petroleum).
  • Select good filling station and use same dispenser.
  • Do not shake the vehicle while refueling.
  • Measure the fuel mileage full tank to full tank with the following equation.
  • Mileage = Number of kms run / Quantity of fuel filled.
  • Do not rest your foot on the clutch pedal while driving.
  • Drive away immediately without warming the engine first.
  • Use the accelerator gently.
  • Always shift into 4th & 5th gears as soon as possible.
  • Change gear in good time to maintain moderate engine speed.
  • Use full throttle for as little time as possible.
  • Anticipate traffic conditions ahead.
  • Avoid sudden acceleration and sudden braking.
  • Avoid using high engine speed.
  • While decelerating, do not shift into neutral gear (engine braking is in use).

Do you know?

  • Fuel and Temperature gauges are only indicative.
  • In case of break down use Hazard lights & keep safety triangle on the boot.
  • In case of certain kinds of accidents 'fuel cut-off switch' gets activated (Petrol only).
  • All points to be checked in the engine compartment are marked in yellow.

Your Safety

  • Depress clutch before starting the Engine.
  • Fasten your seat belts.
  • Always keep First aid kit in the car.
  • Always remove the ignition key when leaving children alone in the vehicle.
  • Activate child lock when children are seated.
  • Adjust head restraints to the head level.
  • Adjust your seat while vehicle is stationary.
  • Use turn signals appropriately.
  • Use Hyundai genuine parts.
  • Do not keep any loose items in driver foot area (e.g shoes, slippers, bottles, etc).
  • Adjust all three mirrors prior to starting your car.
  • Never remove the coolant tank filler cap when the engine is hot.
  • Do not work underneath your vehicle when it is raised with a vehicle jack.
  • Do not shut off an engine when vehicle is in motion.
  • Do not drive the vehicle under influence of alcohol.
  • Follow traffic rules.
